What is Sacred S.I.P.S.?
Sacred S.I.P.S. funded by Lilly Endowment Inc. is a home-based Christian Parenting and Care Giving Initiative and inter-generational faith formation and cultural care program for families. Utilizing “SIPS” as a social activity, metaphor, and acronym, the Sacred SIPS program is comprised of four components designed to support and enhance the faith formation and religious education of children by helping parents and caregivers engage practices that help them pass their faith and values to their children: (1) Soul-Care; (2) Inter-generational Faith Formation & Cultural Care; (3) Peer Partnerships; and (4) Service. Through the following four components of the Sacred SIPS program, inter-generational faith formation and cultural activities will be provided to participating Christian parents and caregivers to equip them with the knowledge base and confidence to share their faith with their children:

- Soul-Care –pastoral care, pastoral counseling, and spiritual direction (guidance & companioning); retreats
- Inter-generational Faith Formation & Cultural Care – worship & bible study, prayer, spiritual disciplines & practices, rituals & traditions; healing arts, music, storytelling, webinars, e-courses, and in-house retreats
- Peer Partnerships – parent/pastor one-on-one support, parent-to-parent peer support, coaching, and mentoring
- Service – missions and volunteer activities
